Your Christmas wines sorted
'Here's my fabulous festive selection. It's a combination of my favourite wines of 2020 and my pick of new sips for every Christmas occasion'
Charles de Fère Blanc de Blancs: a joyous fizz, made like champagne and as good, if not better, than many champagnes and much cheaper, which, frankly, makes it historic
Casa Canevel Prosecco Extra Dry: If you love Italian bubbles you'll adore this perfect, moussey prosecco. Delicious for pre-lunch drinks and great with nibbles
Domaine du Haut Perron Sauvignon Blanc: This exquisite Sauvignon Blanc is one of my favourite whites of the year and is a perfect match for a smoked salmon starter
Révélation Viognier: Here's a light, floral and elegant white. It's lovely with canapés, a Christmas starter, evening scrambled eggs or as simply an festive all-rounder
Conde Valdemar Tempranillo: This Rioja will bring a smile to everyone's faces while you carve the turkey. It's smooth, rich and, in a big fat glass, is just utterly delicious
Montaldo Nero D'Avola: This wine from Sicily will keep the millennials quiet (it's organic) and you very happy. It's fruity, lush, very long and will keep you going all afternoon
Delgado Zuletta sherry: Here's a totally bonkers alternative to sweet dessert wine or port. A syrupy, sticky number which, if you like this type of thing, you will totally adore
Finca Antigua Moscatel: This is a lighter sherry, and a magnificent one. I'm suggesting you pair it with Stilton - it also works with the Christmas pud. Try it. It makes lovely sense!
