Landsborough Chardonnay, 2016 'An Aussie chardonnay made by a Frenchman'
Grown by the much-respected French winemaker Michel Chapoutier in Victoria, Australia, his skilled hand evokes the minerality and elegance of the Northern Rhône, while still expressing the soil and climate of Victoria. The grapes are hand-harvested at night and ferment in French oak barrels. With a hint of toasted brioche on the nose, the palate is rich and rounded with a keen acidity and a long, lean mineral finish. One of the best Aussie chardonnays at this price. Screwcap. Alc: 12%
