Côtes-Du-Rhône Samorëns Rouge 2019 'This wine is why casseroles were invented'
From 1940s-founded Maison Ferraton, this bijou producer is a proponent or organic and biodynamic farming. This wine - a blend of 65% Grenache/35% Syrah grapes - is from alluvial and gravel soils on the left bank of the River Rhône. The grapes macerate - while being pumped and punched - for 15 days before maturing in steel tanks. It's a medium-bodied wine, with bright fruits, an earthy note and some floral aromas. It's well rounded with a silky finish. It drinks beautifully with heavy food; pair it with a caserole, or roast beef. 13.5% Alc. Cork.
